Insecurity, Unemployment And Non-Implementation of Law Still Main Challenges, Danesh

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice-President, Sarwar Danesh has said that the security incidents, high rate of unemployment and lack of implementation of law are still the main challenges faced by the government.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the members of the ‘Afghanistan People Committee for Talks’ here yesterday, BNA reported.
The delegation of the entity during the meeting also presented the roadmap for peace and an open letter for fulfilling the roadmap to the vice president. The roadmap stressed for fighting terrorists, empowering women, fighting unemployment and implementing the law of the land.
Appreciating the delegation and the efforts of the civil society, the vice president termed unemployment as big problem and said that some 30,000 vacancies are in the government departments, adding efforts are underway to employ the educated youth after reforming the procedure of employment. The Vice-President Danesh also noted that facilitating conditions by government for women participation in social and political activities is satisfactory and said that the government has been attempting to appoint a highly educated and professional woman as member of the Supreme Court. According to another report, the Second Vice President, Sarwar Danesh presided the meeting of the Committee for Laws here yesterday, BNA reported. In the meeting, the vice president pointed out that some of the ministries and government entities have problems with regard to implementing the laws approved in the past by former governments. He also noted that the laws implemented by some ministries have never completed their legal procedure. Reviewing and amending the past laws need more times, the vice president added. However, he added that the concerned entities are responsible to take step in amending the laws in coordination with Justice Ministry. In the meeting the draft of laws on private museums and the drafted law for perk and privileges of professional medical cadres were also discussed.
