Maidan/Shahr City (BNA) 11 insurgents belonging Haqqani terrorist network were killed following ambush of Afghan security forces in central Maidan-Wardak province.
Naqibullah Amini spokesman of police chief in the province told BNA reporter, the militants while riding car and motorcycles targeted by Afghan security forces in Deh Afghanan region, Maidan Shahr city the provincial capital of the province.
Mawlavi Akhundzada a key commander of Haqqani terrorist network is among the dead of the incident, Amini added.
Akhundzada was a notorious commander of network that had active role in terrorist activities in the province.
It has been said, casualties didn’t incur to civilians and Afghan security personnel following the ambush.
