Thursday April 9, 2020
Kabul (BNA) Five rockets hit a U.S. air base in Afghanistan on Thursday, but there were no casualties, two senior security officials said, and no group immediately claimed responsibility.
“Five rockets were fired at Bagram Airfield early this morning. There were no casualties or injuries,” the U.S.-led Resolute Support mission said in a statement.
The rockets targeting the largest U.S. military compound in Afghanistan were fired from a vehicle parked in an adjoining village, Wahida Shahkar spokesman of Parwan governor said in her Facebook.
Meanwhile, Zabihullah Mujahid spokesman for Taliban group in a tweet denied responsibility for the attack.
