Dr. Abdullah Asks Govt. Institutions To Consider Media’s Investigative Reports On Corruption

Kabul (BNA) The Council of Ministers held session with Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on the chair here yesterday at Sapidar Palace, a statement from the CEO office said.
Congratulating the 29th anniversary of the then red army withdrawal from Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah said Afghan nation with millions of martyrs, injuries and migration finally freed the country from an occupied army. Meanwhile Dr. Abdullah called on line ministries to follow the media’s research reporting’s on corruption in government institutions. He also instructed the secretary of the council of minister to follow the reports with the ministries.
The meeting of the council of ministers followed with the report of possible threats of Tajikistan’s Sarez lake to Badakhshan, Kunduz and Takhar residents, Ministry of Women’s Affairs’ report of activities in first 9 months of 1396 H.S, proposal on calendar of 1397 H.S, report of the committee on malnutrition, and food safety and security report of the officials of the Ministries of Defense and Interior and the National Directorate for Security.
Dr. Abdullah asked Security Organs to do more for security of Faryab province. He also instructed the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Economy and Water and Energy to talk with Tajikistan side as well as international experts on possible threats of the Sarez Lake.
Meanwhile the Chief Executive after detailed discussions on next year’s calendar, instructed the Ministries of Information and Culture and Labor, Martyrs, Disabled and Social Affairs to finalize the draft calendar and present it to the upcoming Council of Ministers ‘meeting.
