Kabul (BNA) Noorul Haq Uloomi, in the budget committee meeting of the ministry of interior, emphasized for transparency and exact accountability in the budget expenditure, Bakhtar News Agency said the other day.
According to the agency, the minister said he wanted prioritize some needed items and use the budget based on what he called a campaign against bribery and corruption within his lead ministry.
“A committee has been established to exactly identify the priorities of the ministry, through which, up to 2 million Afghanis have been saved last year,” the agency quoted the Uloomi as saying. Deputy policy and strategic minister, Gen. Massoud Ahmad Azizi also confirmed that the ministry’s priorities would be arranged based on the program under the set committee, the agency reported adding the ministry has some key points expected to be implemented next year. The budget expected for police troops has also been considered under the committee direction, and the problems faced by the police would soon be removed, said Azizi in the meeting in which some sound and effective suggestions by the participants were welcomed and decided to be used in the future programs.
