Aisha Durani Tomb To Be Soon Reconstructed

Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of Information and Culture is to rebuild the tomb of Aisha Durani, a known poetess of 12th century.
Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture accompanied by advisor Jalal Noorani, and Eng. Abdul Ahad Abasi, head of Historical Monuments for the Ministry visited Aisha Durani’s ruined tomb, located in Onchi, Baghbanan in the capital Kabul.
Dr. Raheen told BNA that Aisha Durani was a poetess in the last kingdom period of Temor Shah Durani in Afghanistan, adding her father Yaquob Khan was a military officer, Aisha Durani whose poems were liked by Timor Shah and encouraged her by granting gifts, was also a religious scholar.
Aisha Durani in her poems complained about the bitter condition of life.
The Minister of Information and Culture added Aisha Durani’s tomb was to be soon renovated and rebuilt.
