Danesh Presides Over Meeting of Coordinating Committees

Kabul (BNA) The Second Vice-President, Sarwar Danesh presided over the meeting of five coordinating committees of the government cabinet here yesterday. 
According to the presidential press office to BNA, in his speech in the meeting, attended by officials from the committees for justice and judiciary, laws, Hajj, literacy, culture & social services and officials from the affairs administration, the vice president said that the aim for creation of sub-committees of the cabinet is to further regularize the works and deliver better services.
The Second Vice-President also instructed the officials attended the meeting to improve their performances, to speed up their works with accuracy. During the meeting it was proposed to form a committee titled Women Committee and it was decided that the affairs administration in consultation with the ministry of women affairs has to take decision in this regard.
The meeting also tasked the affairs administration and the ministry of justice to work on the code of conduct of the sub-committees in its earliest. The secretariats of the committees under the Second Vice-President was instructed to work in coordination with the affairs administration and present its report about bringing changes in committees,  to add or reduce  the members of the committees to the office of the Second Vice-President.  According to another report, Second Vice-President in a separate meeting with UNFAO chairman to Kabul discussed on bilateral cooperation. In the meeting, Sarwar Danesh, Second Vice-President said, “UNFAO, one of the UN most professional organizations, has now good cooperation with Afghanistan, but Afghanistan could not reach to a great national strategy in the past; so services in agriculture and livestock were not satisfactory.” The Second Vice-President further said that as UNFAO’s operations had direct relation with life of the people, it was necessary to first make a particular strategy in order to make close cooperation between relevant government organizations and private sector. Danesh also asked for strengthening of agricultural faculties in Afghanistan provinces where UN could provide employment opportunities to those graduating from the faculties.
