Kabul (BNA) The second session of second year of 16 legislative term of the Senate was opened yesterday.
Initially Fazel Hadi Chairman of the Senate welcome the Senators and congratulated them on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and asked the warring sides to observe ceasefire in honor of the month of Ramadan.
He stressed that the war is not the solution and in order to end war efforts should be exerted for restoration of peace and reconciliation.
He also offered prayers to the souls of Ahmad Khan Samangani and other martyrs of the Aibak suicide attack and also offered prayers to the soul of Mohammad Sharif Azim and his Herati colleague.
In another part of the Senate meeting the law on transport tax, some amendments in the law on prisons and amendment to the phrase 1 of article 16 of the law on reforms centers for children were introduced to the meeting and they were referred to the relevant commissions.
Hajji Mohammad Osman Rehmani who as per the order No. 1716 dated 16 Jawza of current of the President has been introduced as senator was introduced to the meeting by deputy minister of state for parliamentary affairs.
Senator Mohammad Osman Rehmani Committed himself that in coordination with other senators he will observe the internal rules of the senate and he asked for arrest of perpetrators of Shaheed Arsalan Rehmani’s killers.
Hajji Rafiullah Gul Afghan second secretary of the senate explained a brief report on the visit of the senate delegation led by Senate speaker Fazle Hadi Muslimyar to the Russian federation.
The report reflected details of the delegation’s meetings with the Russian Federation Parliamentarians and government authorities as well as the Afghan students and traders residing in Moscow.
In the meeting once again the rockets attacks of Pakistani forces on Afghan borders regions were strongly condemned.
They called the silence of the government in this respect questionable and it was decided that the National Security Advisor, Ministers of National Defense and Interior and the General Director of National Security Department attend the senate session on the 10th of Assad and answer the questions of the senators.
