President Ghani Chairs High Lands & Water Council’s Session

Kabul (BNA) Presided over by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, high land and water council’s session was held at presidential palace.
In the session, Afghanistan properties’ price information project, plan for creating government land information bank, a five-year water plan, agreements of Polytechnic University technical and scientific cooperation and al-Madina Company with Afghanistan Independent Land Authority were reviewed and discussed.
General Director of independent land authority Jawad Peykar and officials of the authority briefed the session related to goals of Afghanistan land and properties’ price information program and possible results of implementation of the program in the country.
In the session, the country’s President said they had a need for specification of at least price of Afghanistan properties and government institutions should have consensus on technical issues, adding that independent directorate of local governance was working in this regard and other relevant organs should also share their information with independent land authority. President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani further said that the program should first be implemented in cities and later on in remote areas and a joint group from independent land authority, ministry of urban development, municipality and independent directorate of local governance should work in this regard. The country’s President further said that government institutions should specify their properties and land and we have to end land-grabbing challenges in coming years.
Afterwards, plan for creating government land information bank was delivered by Eng. Saaduddin, an official to independent land authority.
