NPC Approves 4 Projects Worth 628.6 Million Afghanis

Kabul (BNA)  Presided over by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Procurement Commission (NPC) held session on Monday, during which 20 procurement cases worth 1.3 billion Afghanis were reviewed and a contract request of four projects worth 628.6 million Afghanis were approved, the presidential palace said in a statement.  According to the statement, a contract of Kabul-Ghazni highway’s basic reconstruction lengths 34 km medicines’ procurement to health facilities related to the ministry of public health including reforms project and higher education ministry, procurement contract of 127 items of clothing needed for the national defense ministry units and a contract on construction of a complex in Khost’s center were approved during the meeting.
Likewise, after discussions, the suggestions on modification of below projects were confirmed by the commission which are as follow:
Modification in duration of different types of oils’ procurement project related to the ministry of telecommunication and information technology, modification in transferring project of 130000 metric tons of wheat from Kandla Port of India through Chabahar Port.
Adjustment in term of a project for construction of a building and asphalting a ring road lengths 15 km in Sheberghan city, Jawzjan province, modification in time of a fuel procurement project needed for the country’s airplanes and adjustment of a contract on air cleaning device for Shaheen 209 army corps’ building, the statement added.
The meeting also adopted necessary measures on previous decisions and instructions of the commission on reports of the national defense, interior and water and energy ministries.  Da Ariana Afghan Airline Company, Kabul municipality and a report of the ministry for urban development and housing on a project of a 100-bed hospital building in Kapisa province.
The meeting was attended by NPC members, national and international observers, Wolesi Jirga’s national economy, budget a financial commissions’ members and some other officials.
