Shanghai Summit Concluded

Kabul (BNA) Held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, the Shanghai summit concluded, after discussing key points by the prime ministers of the permanent members and their insisting on cooperation among the member nations and restoring security.
In the meeting, the country Executive Chief, Dr. Abdullah touched on the government of national unity, security and economic situation of the country asking for further economic and political cooperation with the members countries within the organization. Meanwhile, representatives from India and Iran and Pakistan during their speeches expressed their grave concerns over the security situation in the region, particularly Afghanistan and asked for further cooperation between Afghanistan and Pakistan in war on terrorism and extremism.
They said stability in Afghanistan would lead to regional prosperity. According to another report, the country Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah meets with the prime ministers of Russian Federation and Tajikistan, discussing joint economic cooperation and war on terror and drugs smuggling. The Chief Executive also met the Kazakh senate chairman and discussed good relations between the two countries over the last 13 years. Dr. Abdullah also said in the new phase, the government of national unity was committed to further strengthen relations between the two nations. Both sides also said exchange of parliamentary groups between the two countries would further help boost awareness between the governments and the two countries citizens. The Kazakh senate chairman said, his government would extent providing education scholarships costing $50 million for the Afghan students for more four years, enabling 250 Afghan students enjoy the essential each year.
