Book Exhibition Opens In Kabul

Kabul (BNA) Ministry of Information and Culture and Sarwar-e-Kayenat Publication Association jointly opened the book exhibition in Kabul.
With cooperation of directorate of Baihaqi publishing house, MoIC has put 15,000 books for exhibition which would continue till June 8 by 20% discounts. In a ceremony held on this occasion, Ministry of Information and Culture Abdul Bari Jahani while stressing on development of book-reading culture in the country, regarded holding such exhibitions as encouraging steps. Minister  of Information and Culture briefed related to his ministry’s recent works towards strengthening of book-writing, publication of dozens of books, establishing public libraries, persuading  writers, purchasing books worth 2.5 million AFG and holding book exhibitions. Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Culture recalled of new regulation of wage in academic affairs, adding that considerable developments would be occurred by implementation of the regulation. It is worth mentioning that the MoIC has delivered a proposal to presidential office in connection with creating a center for book publishers and sellers in Kabul and numerous problems would be addressed by approval of the said proposal.
