Switzerland Assist $2.2m to Afghanistan

KABUL (BNA) Switzerland in its series of aid since 2016 announced another 2.2 million USD to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Aid Fund, on Wednesday.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said in a newsletter that the 2.2 million USD aid provides the basis for strengthening the process of providing aid to the people of Afghanistan.

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid, with this aid package, the total amount of Swiss humanitarian aid to Afghanistan from 2016 to now reached 12 million USD.

Meanwhile, two days back, Denmark also donated $2.5 million to Afghanistan’s humanitarian aid fund.

The United Nations says that due to the economic crisis, drought, and natural incidents in Afghanistan, millions of people need urgent humanitarian aid.

The United Nations has asked international countries and organizations to continue their assistance to the people of Afghanistan.
