Sharan (BNA) Police prevented an explosion in Sharan, the capital of the Paktika, by discovering a tractor full of explosives yesterday evening.
Abdul Wadud Andar, Paktika police chief told BNA that officers at the command discovered and defused a tractor loaded with Taliban explosives from the bazaar in the Makkhan district of the province.
He added that the armed Taliban wanted to transport the explosives to the central Paktika city of Sharan for a terrorist attack.
According to another report, Paktika police chief’ said Mutakhan district had been under siege by the Taliban for several days, security forces pushed back Taliban attacks, in which 30 insurgents were killed and 10 others wounded.
