Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Asif Rahimi, Governor of Herat in a joint news conference yesterday with Ferozuddin Feroz, Minister of Public Health declared the minister’s visit to the province as positive and with achievement.
“Minister of public health has paid a visit to the province for reviewing the process of health services rendering in health centers and also health organs’ operations in the province,” Rahimi said.
At the conference, minister of public health also declared that his visit to Herat province was to review health services’ delivery, increase the quality of services and cooperation between health organs, provide access of people to health services and pay visit to Herat regional hospital and help in capacity building and improvement of management in the hospital. He considered laying the foundation stone of a 20-bed hospital in Rubat-e-Sangi district, opening a 30-bed health center in a hospital equipped with modern appliances as opening a professional library of health institute as his visit’s achievements, declaring that 1 $ million would be spent in construction of 17 health development projects during the coming one month in Herat province. Minister of Public Health informed of seriousness in assessment and overseeing health services’ delivery in private clinics, stressing that budgetary problem in Herat hospital would be also addressed.
