Jalalabad (BNA) National security officials announced the arrest of five members of ISIS targeted assassination network in Nangarhar.
The ISIS fighters were arrested last night during a special security operation from their hideout in Chaparhar district.
A source in National Security told BNA that the detainees in Jalalabad and a number of Nangarhar districts were assassinating government employees, including military officers, as well as tribal elders and Islamic scholars.
In the first investigation, the arrested men confessed to several assassinations of government employees in Nangarhar.
ISIS has not yet said anything about this.
