Kabul (BNA) The media commission of Independent Election Commission (IEC) shared the regulation for media activity with the heads of the country’s media.
At the meeting Semin Ghazal Hassanzada deputy minister for publication of information and culture ministry talking on the role of media in election process said, the media with its great mission in society towards the democratic order should place national interests as their working priority.
She added that the media can by observing professional principles encourage the people towards election and by preparing of transparent reports inform the people about this process.
At this meeting Farida Nekzad head of the media commission of IEC called the aim of the regulation to facilitate media activities in IEC and creation of a legal course for media activities.
The regulation is prepared as per the provision of article 79 of the Constitution by the IEC to carry on its performance during the election process.
