KABUL (BNA): A relatively strong earthquake occurred around 6:35 AM today, Tuesday, shaking some regions of Badakhshan.
Local sources in the Badakhshan province have confirmed the occurrence of earthquake but have not reported any potential casualties or damages so far.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Geological Survey website has declared the intensity of this earthquake as 4.9 on the Richter scale, and center of it is said to be is the Jurm district of Badakhshan, which occurred at a depth of 144 kilometers underground.
