Kabul (BNA) Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Publications, Prof. Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi called for elimination of violence against women, BNA reported.
Addressing a conference to mark International Women’s Day and unveiling the journal of women Journalists held in the ministry of women affairs here yesterday, she noted that women by celebrating this day, can openly and loudly highlight their problems and the challenges laying ahead of them.
Women, she said are still facing discrimination in their working environment.
Both men and female journalists working equally, but the privileges they receives is different, Mostafavi added.
Women journal which covers the activities of female journalists is published one in each three months.
In the conference where the message of first lady Rula Ghani was readout, Spojmai Wardak, the deputy of women affairs ministry and few others also highlighted the women status and their challenges in the society.
