MoF, IDB Discuss Funding Development Projects In Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Finance Minister Ekleel Hakimi participated in 41st Islamic Development Bank (IDB) annual summit held last Monday in Jakarta.
In the sideline of the summit, minister of finance met separately with finance ministers of Indonesia, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and chairman of IDB to discuss economic issues, energy, roads, transport and other projects funded by IDB in Afghanistan.
Finance minister by praising IDB for its cooperation in construction of Kabul rind road, creating vocational centers, mobile clinics and Islamic university.
Hakimi asked the bank’s officials for enduring their assistance based on priorities of Afghanistan government and providing employment opportunities to Afghans in main office of the bank.
Meanwhile, minister of finance met with Afghan traders to Indonesia and heard their problems.
It is worth mentioning that IDB’s main office is in Jeddah and nearly 57 countries from Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America have its membership. The bank aims to economic development in its member countries and Islamic communities.
