NSC Discusses Kabul Bank Issue

Kabul (BNA) The National Security Council Meeting chaired by President Hamid Karzai held at the presidential palace.
Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai chairman of the commission for regulating security transition starting the meeting informed the participants of the meeting about transition of the leadership of combat operations from the foreign forces to Afghan forces that will take place at the end of current year.
The NSC issued an order to the related organs to adopt necessary preparations for implementing this national goal.
The governor of Logar and Maidan-Wardak presented reports about the security situation in the provinces. 
Arsalah Jamal governor of Logar presenting a report on security situation in Logar, touched on the security problems there.
The Logar Governor Report could not convinced the NSC therefore the council ordered the ministers of national defense, interior affairs and general director of local organs to adopt a security plan for the province and implement in coordination with the related organs.
Then, Abdul Majid Khogyani governor of Maidan-Wardak presenting a report  on the security situation of the province, saying that in spite of   efforts have been  made for improving the security in the province, still security is not satisfaction there  and still problems exist on the highway No1 to  Daimerdad .
He added that Pakistani insurgents in disguise of Taliban have come from Wazirstan to Jaghato, Chak and Daimerdad districts to destabilize the security there.
The NSC after hearing this issue assigned the ministries of national defense and interior affairs to undertake security measures for improving security in the province.
The complaints and proposals of residents of Tagab of Kaspisa province with respect to presence of Special Forces there was assessed
The NSC ordered the ministry of national defense considering the people’s complaints undertake necessary measures with respect to activities of the Special Forces in the area.
First deputy minister of national defense informing the NSC about the repairing of old arms said that as per the decision of the NSC this process has started.
The NSC assigned the national defense ministry to report to the NSC monthly in this respect.
At the end of the meeting, the NSC once again issued orders to the attorney general office and the Afghanistan Bank over the non-progress on recovery of the Kabul Bank’s embezzled money from the UAE and UK Banks urged them to present a report on this issue to the NSC meeting next Wednesday.
