Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan accepted the credential letter of Von Brandt, the newly-appointed ambassador of the European Union to Afghanistan during a ceremony at the Presidential Palace today.
President Ghani extended congratulations to the incoming ambassador on beginning his new mission in Afghanistan and thanked EU’s financial, political and all cooperation in Afghanistan.
Ambassador Brandt expressed delight over commencement of his new mission, reaffirming continued EU assistance with Afghanistan.
The Newly-appointed ambassador expressed that UE declares support from Afghanistan government programs regarding peace, president strategy on regional connectivity and strengthening trade relations.
