Kabul (BNA) Afghan National Army (ANA) succeeded to discover and confiscate 4776 round of different type of mines within the last six months in Afghanistan.
Ministry of Defense (MoD) by releasing a statement report, the mines have been planted by Taliban fighters to target innocent civilians and Afghan security forces in crowded areas, public roads and residential areas, but fortunately the mines have been discovered and neutralized by Afghan National Army.
By discovering and confiscating the mines, thousands bloodiest incidents have been prevented and also the lives of thousands innocent people have rescued, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Afghan National Army by discovering and neutralizing the mines succeeded to prevent from devastation of hundreds km roads, hundreds bridges and culverts across the country, the statement underlined.
