KABUL (BNA) The head of the National Bureau of Statistics and Information says that the population of the country in 1401 estimated 34 million people.
According to BNA, the National Statistics and Information Office published the statistical yearbook of 1400 today.
Dr. Faqir Mohammad Ziar, head of the National Bureau of Statistics and Information, said at the publication of the yearbook that the yearbook includes economic and social indicators of health, population, agriculture, national calculations, guardianship index, energy services and foreign trade. likewise, Hasibullah Movahed, the head of the National Statistics Office, provide details about the yearbook and said: The population census had been conducted for the first time in 1979, based on which the population had estimated at about twelve million people, and then in 2004, according to the list. The census was conducted at home, which estimated 22 tenths of a population of three million people. Now, in 1400, the census was conducted according to the scientific methods of the country. 51% of which are men and 16 tenths of which are women.
About 24 million of them live in villages and more than eight million in cities, and more than one million are nomads, he said.
Movahed also said that according to this yearbook, in 1400, the country’s gross domestic product is one thousand two hundred and thirty-three billion, in which the sectors of agriculture, industry and services have played a role in domestic production.
He said that the inflation rate in the country is 5.1 percent, which shows a decrease compared to last year.
Regarding imports and exports, he said that the index of this sector shows that in 1400, we had imports of five thousand three hundred and eight billion dollars and exports of eight hundred and fifty million dollars, and in the imports and exports of services and goods, it decreased compared to last year.
In the section on health figures, he said that in 1400, three thousand three hundred and fifty-seven chapters of comprehensive, basic and secondary centers were built in the country, which has increased compared to the past.
Statistics on coronary heart disease, AIDS and tuberculosis have also been recorded.
He mentioned in the agricultural statistics index that the figures show that in 1400, four decimal places produced seven million tons of grain and nearly 87,000 tons of cotton in the country.
Movahed also provided scientific information in the statistics and statistics sections of other sections.
