Leader of 30-members of Taliban Group Killed in Samangan

Kabul (BNA) A key member of the Taliban, who led a group of 30 insurgents was killed in a clash with police in Hazrat Sultan District Samangan.

Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian told BNA, as a result of clashes between ANP and Taliban in Hazrat Sultan district of Samangan, three members of the group, including Maulvi Mohamaduddin, a key Taliban figure, were killed.

Maulvi Mohamaduddin was the former Taliban district chief for Hazrat Sultan district, and led a 30-member Taliban group.

Mohamaduddin was active in terrorist incidents in parts of Hazrat Sultan district.

In this clash, two Kalashnikovs and a motorcycle were seized by the forces.
