Kandahar (BNA) The security forces says they has thwarted a Taliban plot to carry out hundreds of bombings in Kandahar.
The security forces was able to detect and neutralize more than three hundred mines on the busy roads of Kandahar.
Arghandab and Maiwand districts of Kandahar witnessed the most Taliban landmines yesterday.
The Atel Corps in south of the country said in a statement that the security forces had prevented a series of explosions in Kandahar by detecting and defusing hundreds of mines.
He blamed the Taliban for the blasts and said villagers had worked with their troops to find the mines.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
