Maimana (BNA) Five Taliban insurgents were killed by their own mine explosion in Faryab yesterday.
A spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Corps told BNA that Taliban wanted to plant a mine in Pul-e-Nahren area, Qaisar District, Faryab, the mine exploded and killed them.
The source added that five Taliban were killed in the incident and two others were seriously wounded.
