Kabul (BNA) Key Taliban commander was killed last night during a security forces operation in Miami, Badakhshan.
Fawad Aman, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, told BNA that security forces launched an operation last night to suppress the Taliban in the village of Doabi in Maimi district of Badakhshan, the Taliban had set up checkpoints in the village and extorted money from residents.
Six Taliban insurgents, including key Taliban commander were killed during the operation and some Taliban ammunition and weapons were destroyed.
